Utilities
Utilities is the module to create indexes,
manage the database in ways other than searching it, and use some of the optional
packages
You can customize the systems from Utilities
if you prefer that to running Customize
separately
You can create accession number labels with the name of your
organization. The accession number can be before or after the organization name, and
you can distribute sets of numbers to different persons to prevent assigning the
same accession number twice.
Clip and paste into books
Titles, authors, subjects, publishers, dates, collations, and notes
may be edited wholesale (the entire database at one time) in any of four different
ways
You can backup the database to diskettes and restore it later, if
ever necessary
You can view the database or recent additions in several different
formats, including proof sheets for error checking
You can associate pictures or other graphics with
catalog records
